About us
What is ACTE
ACTE started as a workshop at Itasec 2024 in Bologna, to talk about cybersecurity in an open and accessible way. Today it is becoming an association that looks at information security from many angles, technical and not.
We bring together mathematics, computer science, digital humanities, law and political science to spread an all-round security culture: technological, but also legal, ethical and social.
The name
Why ACTE
ACTE stands for Anticipating Cyber Threats Evolution and is inspired by the national strategy of Italy's National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN).
The idea is not just to react to digital threats, but to anticipate them, understanding their origins and consequences. We want to be a meeting point for research, training and outreach.
